TURKEY POT PIE
My turkey dinner for Thanksgiving didn’t pan out, so, I made a wonderful turkey dinner for Christmas! There are only two of us and I wanted to do various meals with the leftover turkey, one of the meals from the leftover turkey was Turkey Pot Pie.
I used left over turkey, peas, carrots, diced two medium potatoes, threw in left over gravy, chopped an onion and threw it all into a pot and heated together.
After heating, poured into a casserole dish with a little pepper and salt to taste, made some biscuits, yes, I made biscuits, and dropped them on top of turkey mixture and baked until biscuits browned, about 15-20 minutes! I did top biscuits with brushed butter to make them taste good and brown prettier! Delicious!
BISCUITS
“If you cannot make biscuits, use canned biscuits”
Ingredients:
2 Cups Self-rising Flour
1/2 Stick of Butter
1/2 Cup of Milk (more-or-less)
1 Teaspoon of Sugar (optional)
Mix:
Cut-up butter into the flour making butter like cornmeal. Add milk until butter and flour come together. Do not mix too much or you will have tough biscuits. Bake on 350* for 15-20 minutes or until brown. The Turkey Pot Pie taste even better the next day…the gravy pulls it together beautifully!
