Herbs, Spices & Teas 101

Herbs, Spices & Teas

Pumpkin Spice

The year is rolling on quickly.  Almost time for the Pumpkin patch.  But, what to do with all those pumpkins?  Here is a good recipe to help spice up any element of the pumpkin  after cooking peeled pumpkin interior!

  • 1/4 Tsp of Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Tsp. of Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp. of Ground Ginger
  • 1/8 Tsp. of Ground Cloves

With those spices one can make regular pies, hand pies, pumpkin jam, bread, cookies, cake, ice-cream  as your imagination is limitless.  I can taste a meat stuffing of pumpkin in my imagination as I have not tried it myself…would be a good challenge as I have never heard of it before, even though, I am sure someone has done it and the information is out there.  I will have to google it to find out!

Also, there are many recipes to be found just by googling and Yep, there they are, right on your smart device.  I love electronics that give us the ability to quickly access all of this information.  Especially since I come from a time when smart devices were not available.  I love the future as information technology is growing by leaps and bounds.  I would tell you where I got the recipe, but I can’t remember.  I definitely did not come up with it myself.

 Happy Pumpkin Patch Fishing!
